KT Chapter 253

Happy Wednesday!

Here’s the chapter, enjoy.

After that, when I casted my magic onto the other old sheep, they, just like the first one, evolved(?) into Sleep Sheep. I didn’t know if the cause of it was because of the Dragon Forest or me, but it couldn’t be helped now that things turned out this way. Honestly, I didn’t think that there was much of a difference between monsters and animals, so let’s have them continue living on the farm.

No one knew much about the Sleep Sheep, so everyone went to the Adventurer Guild to look into it.

And, what we found out was that they were the weaker ones among the sheep-type monsters, and perhaps it was because they were frequently sleeping since they were old, that they turned into Sleep Sheep. After that, the wool of the Sleep Sheep was best turned into bedding and it seems that it was even a material that royalty and titled nobility wanted. I didn’t know how much we would be able to collect, but Director-sensei and Obaa-san might appreciate it if I turned the wool of the Sleep Sheep into futons.

「Hey, isn’t the wool growing really quickly?」

I thought that they would be full of energy after they turned into monsters, but for some reason, Cruz-kun asked such a question as I habitually casted recovery magic on the Sleep Sheep.

「Is that so? I don’t think they changed much though….」

「No, compared to the lambs over there, they’re completely different!」

Certainly, when I tried comparing them, it seemed like their bodies became sheep-like. The lambs didn’t really have anything to shear, but their wool should’ve been sheared together before they came here, so the length of their wool should’ve been about the same. No, perhaps there might be due to the age difference and the differences between adults and children, so I couldn’t say for sure.

However, a month later, their changes were easy to see. The wool of the Sleep Sheep had grown long enough that it could be sheared. What was going on; when I used『Appraisal』to investigate more thoroughly, it seems that they had the『Hair Restoration』skill, and thanks to that, it seems that their wool grew. Maybe because they’re Sleep Sheep, their wool would grow quickly so that it’ll be easy for them to sleep.

Meeeeh~」

If it was winter, we could leave them like this, but if it’s summer, then they’ll be too hot, so if we didn’t shear them diligently, they would be pitiful. In addition, no matter how much wool there was, we wouldn’t be troubled by it, so I’m thankful for it.

Regarding the sheep, I tried buying old sheep many times after that to test it out, but as expected, they evolved into Sleep Sheep. I didn’t know what the cause of it was, but they became my familiars, and we could shear their wool, so we continued to buy them from farming villages. The lambs did not become monsters and they quickly grew up, so we were able to shear their wool without any problems either. Perhaps they’ll turn into monsters when they become adults, but we’ll deal with it when the time comes.

While this was happening, the adventurer group and the merchant group regularly traveled between the orphanage, the imperial capital, and the harbor city, selling potions and lumber on a large scale, and the channel through which we bought seafood had been stabilized. Of course, we also went there to transport fresh seafood, but it was routine for us to visit the neighboring towns and farming villages. Perhaps it was because of that that we were able to get along well with the adventurers and the peddlers who were acquainted with the adventurer group, which would be of great help to us in the future.

And, a few months after peddling, this moment had finally arrived.

「Ta~da!」

「Ilya-chan, congrats.」

「Wo~w!」

「…yay!」

Everyone was happily surrounding Ilya-chan who became an adventurer and Cruz-kun was next to her holding up his Guild ID.

「What the heck! Congratulate me too!」

「…congrats.」

「…congrats.」

「…」

Cruz-kun was making a fuss, but we stared at Cruz-kun exasperatedly.

Because Cruz-kun and Ilya-chan had come of age, and after registering at the Adventurer Guild, they finally became adventurers. Naturally, my younger sister, Sakuya-chan, and I accompanied them, but the excited Cruz-kun tried to accept a subjugation request that couldn’t be accepted by a novice, and not just the receptionist onee-san, but the adventurers who we were acquainted with were angry as well. For some reason, we were grouped together with him….

We understood that the receptionist onee-san was truly worried, not just because it was her job, and that the adventurers were all scolding us as our seniors, but I would like it if you didn’t group us together….
