While helping out at the food stall as I listened to Cruz-kun and the others talking about dragons, I was called by the children from the merchant group. When I went over, there was some kind of material placed there, perhaps it was the payment. 

「It’s this, but could you uses『Appraisal』to check it?」

The market was near the forest, so one could also settle the food stall bill by paying with materials. Most of the goods were what we usually traded, so to a certain extent, the prices were standard, but occasionally, an unusual item would be brought in. 「Ehh!? It’s real!?」

「This, I’m unable to put a price on it and you probably wouldn’t be able to sell it to other places either, right.」

We talked about this the other day as well, but it was rare to see a Wind Dragon, so the Wind Dragon’s materials were quite valuable. Even so, there were several Wind Dragon’s scales that were larger than our faces over there.

「Isn’t it too much even if it’s the price of the food stall?」

「That’s what I thought too, but he said that there were a lot of them that had fallen, so….」

「Fallen? That is to say, he picked them up from somewhere?」

「Isn’t it that they fell into the forest when the Wind Dragon came the other day?」

Thinking about it normally, that seemed to be the case, but Oji-san and the others were also Wind Dragons, so I think they picked them up at their house. However, as expected, we were unable to take such goods.  Or rather, even if we did, dealing with them would be difficult. I put the Wind Dragon’s scales into my『Item Box』, and went to talk to Ojii-san.

「Hey, this, what’s going on!?」

「Nn? Ooh, sonny, huh, what happened?」

「This is not the time for that! I can’t take such a precious thing!」

「After all, recently, you guys said that you wanted them, didn’t you? These kinds of things were left on the bed, or rather, they were thrown away, so take as much as you like.」

Falling onto the bed, he said, was it something like fallen hair? Or, they were replaced with new ones and the old scales came off? Certainly, the scales that he gave us seemed old…or rather, as expected, Oji-san and the others were determined to be Wind Dragons…. In addition, they slept in their dragon forms…. I learned about the dragons’ way of living even though it was fine not to know…. No, Ojii-san slept as a human, so perhaps it was different depending on the dragon.

In the end, I refused several times, but I was pressured, so I had unintentionally obtained Wind Dragon’s scales. As expected, if this was known by the other adventurers, it would probably become a serious matter, so I discussed with the merchant group and it was decided that they would be sealed in my『Item Box』for the time being. That was what we decided, but after that, the oji-san kept bringing scales over again and again. There was no way to refuse him and the number of scales kept increasing. In addition, just the scales were not exciting enough, right? So he brought fragments of their claws and fangs(?) as well. He said that these fell as well, so these too were probably something like the by-products of them being replaced by new ones and claw and fang sharpening. On the contrary, they were sharper than any of the weapons made at the orphanage, which was as expected of the dragons. 

As one would expected, these could not be taken out either, so I put them into my『Item Box』, but the oji-sans once again brought alcohol that was combined with liquor….
