「Alright! Let’s immediately go to the dungeon!」

Passing through the gate and entering the town, Cruz-kun said this to everyone. However, no one agreed with him.

「SIlly, we need to go to the Adventurer Guild first, don’t we? After that, we will go to the Commerce Guild and then we have to find a place to stay as well.」

The adventurer group, including Cruz-kun and Ilya-chan, had, more or less, come here on an escort request, so they had to report the completion of the task to the Adventurer Guild. In addition, the search for an inn. In the beginning, we decided to search for an inn, but while talking with the other merchants, we thought that it might be cheaper to rent a house. However, the problem was whether or not there was a house to rent. We saw it when we arrived, but this dungeon city was enclosed by quite the sturdy outer wall. In other words, just like Frey Town, it would not be easy to expand the town. And so, there was limited land, so even if there were a few vacant houses, they would be expensive to rent. Incidentally, there were no houses for sale. 

We were originally going to the Commerce Guild to sell potions, so we took the opportunity to ask about the houses as well. If there were no houses that could be rented, searching for an inn might be a little troublesome. If we couldn’t find an inn, then we would have to camp outside the town because there were no open spaces,

This was a dungeon city, so both the Adventurer Guild and the Commerce Guild were near the entrance of the town. Thanks to that, we were able to find it without getting lost. Cruz-kun seemed disappointed that we could not buy and eat at the food stalls. Certainly, I was a little hungry, so I was also somewhat disappointed. But, finding a place to stay came first.

There were a few reception desks inside the Commerce Guild, and there were tables for business negotiations as well. This was the dungeon city, so perhaps there were many transactions of materials as it seemed to be as spacious as the one in the imperial capital. I headed straight to an empty reception desk.  

「Welcome to the Commerce Guild. What business do you have with us today?」

I discussed with the person who received us about whether there was a house for us to rent. The merchant group was handling this, so I was waiting for them in the back.

「Let’s see, currently, there are no vacancies anywhere.」

As expected, the merchants who came with us also said this, but it seems that it would be difficult to rent a house. However, we had a strategy.

「Is that so…. Oh yes, we would like for you to purchase these, is that alright?」

I handed over the box containing the potions I was holding behind me to the receptionist.

「These are…potions!?」

As expected, they jumped at the chance to buy potions!

Thanks to the potions, the negotiations progressed, and we were able to rent a house that needed some repairs. Thanks to that, it seems that we would be selling it to them wholesale regularly, but we did not know if we would be able to rent the house in the future, which couldn’t be helped. In addition, there were a lot of people within the adventurer group who wanted to go to the dungeon, so it would be good to have a base in the dungeon city.

「Were you able to rent a house?」

Arriving at the Commerce Guild’s parking lot, we were asked this by Ilya-chan, so we told her that we were able to. The Commerce Guild’s parking lot was spacious and other than our horse carriages, there were several other horse carriages lined up. In the horse carriage, besides the merchant group, it was just the usual members. Because the adventurer group was at the Adventurer Guild. Cruz-kun wanted to go as well, but as expected, if everyone went, then there would not be any escorts, so Cruz-kun, Ilya-chan, and Ojii-san stayed behind. We needed to go through the procedures in order to go into the dungeon, so let’s go together later.

As I was discussing the future arrangements with everyone, the adventurer group came back, so we headed to the house under the guidance of someone from the Commerce Guild.

「It’s cleaner than I thought it would be.」

「With this, there’s no problem, right?」

On the way, we chatted with the guild personnel, but they told us that the house was old, the roof was leaking, and there were drafts of cold air. There was a garden, but there was no stable and hearing this, everyone was a little worried, but it looked much better than the orphanage from a long time ago. So, we decided to rent this place.

「Well then, please sign the official contract at the guild tomorrow.」

 When we told the personnel of the Commerce Guild that we would rent it, it was decided that we would go through the formalities at the guild tomorrow. We were told that we could use it starting today, but as expected, we probably couldn’t stay here immediately, so we would stay in the garden and starting tomorrow, perhaps we’ll do the cleaning and repair work.
