The feudal lord army was vigilant when they heard a sound that came out of nowhere, thinking that we had reinforcements, and Queen and the other familiars grew wary of other beings besides themselves.

It was a critical situation, but we were vigilant of the sound and both we and the feudal lord army stopped our movements.

「「「「「Gukyaoooooon!」」」」」

Thereupon, the roar resounded much more clearly than before. The sound could be heard coming from far away, but somehow, it seemed to be coming from the sky. It wasn’t just the feudal lord army, the adventurer group and the guild staff on our side also looked uneasy and surveyed the surroundings.

「Sh*t, what was that sound!」

「Nn? What is, that?」

「That? Isn’t it a cloud?」

「No, isn’t it a bird?」

「I, idiot! Th, that’s a Wyvern!」

Some people from the feudal lord army were saying that it was a「Wyvern」, so in response, everyone looked upwards. In doing so, it could be seen that something was flying in the sky. Certainly, the silhouette seemed to be that of a bird, but for a bird, it seemed to be too big. Every once in a while, Ojii-san would hunt Wyverns, so including us, the children from the orphanage had seen it before. Perhaps it was because of that that a carefree「It’s true, it’s a Wyvern」sounded from the nearby adventurer group.

However, the guild staff were different. They knew of the terrifyingness of the Wyverns. The adventurer group had only seen that corpse, or rather, the materials of the Wyverns, and it was their first time seeing a live one. Maa, there should’ve been people among the guild staff who were in the same situation, but they knew just how scary they were. Or rather, there’s no way we wouldn’t know about it when we were so close to the Dragon Forest.

However, the children from the orphanage didn’t quite know just how ferocious the Wyverns were since Ojii-san brought them over many times. Rather, there might even be children who thought that they were weak. And so, there were different reactions to the appearance of the Wyvern.

「Oii, what are you doing! We’re running away!」

「Ehh? Ehh? Run away, you say, why!?」

Flustered, the guild staff was encouraging us to evacuate, but the orphanage group, perplexed, did not understand why they had to run away.

「Why you ask, if the Wyvern attacked, everyone here would be annihilated!」

After hearing from the guild staff and the senior adventurers who were the guards about the dreadfulness of the Wyverns, the orphanage group became panicked.

「Oi, Shuu, let’s quickly get away from here.」

「Onii-chan, let’s go quickly!」

Cruz-kun and my younger sister were influenced by those around them and were hurriedly running away. If we’re going to evacuate, then I’ll instruct Queen and the others to do so as well, but when I looked over, the only ones that Queen and the others were vigilant of was the feudal lord army. I didn’t know what was going on, but when I looked up towards the sky at the Wyverns that I should;ve been the most wary of, the number of the Wyvern’s shadows had increased to more than ten. Certainly, there had been multiple sounds, so I knew that it wasn’t just one of them, but I didn’t think that this many Wyverns would appear….

Or rather, why were Queen and the others not on guard against the Wyverns!?

As I tried getting confirmation from Queen, the Wyverns could be seen coming down at that time.

「Everyone, get away–!」

I didn’t know whose voice it was, but the only thing that I could do was hold onto my younger sister and drop down onto the ground when the Wyverns approached.
